Terms & Conditions

I/we (herein referred to as ‘the Customer’) agree to purchase goods from Ashley Homestore Uganda (herein referred to as ‘the Company’) under the following Terms and Conditions.

Payment

  1. All payments made to the Company will be issued a corresponding payment receipt.
  2. Ownership of the goods transfers to the Customer upon full payment; however, the risktransfers upon delivery.
  3. Cheque/EFT/RTGS/mobile money payments will be acknowledged upon confirmation by the bank.
  4. All cheques are payable to Prime Impex (2001) Ltd.
  5. Administration charges of UGX 100,000 will apply in special circumstances, such as the issuance of bad cheques by the Customer. Any bank charges for bounced cheques are payable by the Customer.
  6. An interest rate of 4% per month will be applicable on all late payments.
  7. It remains the responsibility of the Customer to obtain the official receipt for payments made to the Company

Sales and Deposits

  1. Deposits accepted for reservation of products must be 40% of the invoice total.
  2. Reserved products must be fully paid for within 21 days, after which they will be released for sale.
  3. The Company provides no warranty on products unless otherwise specified.
  4. All prices are ex-warehouse and are inclusive of VAT.
  5. The Company reserves the right to amend prices.

Delivery and Storage

  1. The Company will endeavour to deliver within 1 week upon receipt of full payment.
  2. The Customer must acknowledge that the products are in good order and condition at the time of delivery.
  3. Late deliveries shall not constitute grounds for a claim for compensation from the Customer.
  4. Storage charges of 5% of the total invoice will apply on a monthly basis for products not collected within 21 days

Returns and Exchanges

  1. The Company has a NO REFUND policy and will only issue a credit note of equal value, less administration charges, for special cases.
  2. VAT refunds are done upon submission of all the relevant documentation.
  3. No returns or exchanges are accepted 7 days after the delivery of products.

General

  1. The Company shall not be considered to be in default in the performance of its obligations if such performance is prevented or delayed by events beyond reasonable control.
  2. These Terms and Conditions supersede any prior representations or agreements between the parties with respect to the subject matter herein.
